How long does ceramic coating last?
Our coatings are rated to last for years, not months. With basic maintenance you can expect years of performance. The difference is in the chemistry and the prep work — not the marketing.
Does my car need machine polishing first? Its brand new?
Your car probably needs it — it's an important part of preparing the paintwork. New cars usually have swirl marks, light scratching and waterspots from pre-delivery transport and careless washing. We professionally decontaminate and polish the paint prior to coating, so your car looks better than the day it left the showroom.
Can you apply ceramic coating at my house?
Absolutely — if you'd rather we come to you than have the service completed in-store at our Butler Studio, we offer mobile at-home service.
How long does the application take?
We typically complete the vehicle the same day as drop-off. We can give you a more precise time estimate prior to the appointment once we understand the vehicle's condition and your requests.
What maintenance does a ceramic coating need?
Very little compared to uncoated paint — dirt comes off with no scrubbing. Regular hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo is all it needs — no abrasive cleaners, no automatic car washes with brushes. A simple hand wash every 4–6 weeks keeps the coating performing at its best. Our monthly membership is ideal for keeping a coated car in top condition.
Is ceramic coating worth it on an older car?
Yes — provided the paint is in reasonable condition or has been corrected first. Ceramic isn't just for new cars; it protects whatever paint condition exists and makes ongoing maintenance dramatically easier. On an older daily driver the benefit is real — less cleaning time, better protection against further deterioration, longer-lasting gloss.
